The Fifth in the series of site-specific Window Installations, #7A featured 7 windows, retrieved from an early 19th century Lake George cottage, suspended from a custom framework mounted into a 10ft ceiling and arranged to envelop the viewer within a 135-sqft translucent environment. Empty black mattes were adhered to select windows creating alternative portholes through which viewers were invited to observe the setting. Photographic images of the Installation were taken over its brief 3-day display, using the sun’s ambient light as source for illumination.
